Storms on Labor Day weekend

#1 Postby Tropics Guy » Sun Aug 26, 2007 7:42 pm

Does anyone know when was the last year where we had no active storms (TD's, TS's or hurricanes) in the Atlantic basin during the Labor Day weekend?. Seems like we always have had at least one storm to track. Will this be the year of no storms on L.D. weekend?

1998 had an extratropical storm from Hurricane Earl during labor day weekend. As for a year with absolutely nothing in the Atlantic was 1994.

Yeah, last time I looked at some of the models there always seems to be a depiction of something during that weekend . . . as to what and where, well, we all know that it's too far out to be exact, but cyclogenesis is cyclogensis, especially in September.
