My family and I are scheduled to be in South Carolina on sept 19-21. If TD #8 decides to go toward the east coast, about what day will it reach the area?
I have already book our rental car but I haven't book the hotel yet. I really don't want to be stuck in the middle of a hurricane in a city I know nothing about in regards to flood prone area and such.
If...How long would it take to get there?

I'd say it's about 2,000 miles away and going slow. Could be 6-10 days away. But it's just a guess.

At the rate td 8 is moving it should get to the US around Holloween, if it survives.

LOL, but really it's moving so slow I almost can't watch it! After the Humberto fiasco I'm gonna relax for a few days and see what's going on then.

But who knows, maybe a new storm will develop at breakneck speed like Humberto did?
