Canadian shows new storm in SW Gulf

#1 Postby frederic79 » Wed Oct 17, 2007 8:21 pm

I don't know if this has any real credibility but the last 2 runs of the CMC shows an area of low pressure in the Pacific south of Panama moving NW and sparking development of a TC in the extreme southern Bay of Campeche by Friday. The low then becomes stationary and deepens before moving NNE and making landfall on the Louisianna coast Sunday or Monday. Given the date on the calendar, the shear, the fronts and the many "cry wolfs" we've seen to this point, I'm not saying this will amount to anything at all. However, there is currently a 1002 mb low sitting just inland on the Mexican coast west of the Bay of Campeche according to the loop overlay.
