I have some videos available

#1 Postby Windy » Sun Sep 04, 2005 3:34 pm

Today on Meet the Press, Tim Russert put the question to the head of Homeland Security (Chertoff) why so much of the things that they've been saying lately conflict with known facts and where they're going to go from here. I have the video segment avaiable if anyone wants it emailed to them (just PM me). The segment is ~4MB large.

I also have the video segment of the the Jefferson Parish president explaining what he needs, telling some stories, and basically saying that his country has abandoned him shortly before more or less imploding and crying his way off the air. This segment is ~4MB large... again, PM me if you want it emailed to you.

I also have the video segment of senator Landieu in a helicopter this morning more or less threatening to punch president Bush if he doesn't shut up. This surprised me. (She was rather emotional when she said it, and I think she may have been refering to all critics, not just Bush, but still). She also points out that there is only one lonely little crane down there repairing the levee breech. This segment is also ~4MB. PM me if you want it emailed to you.

Just make sure you include your email address in your PM. :)

I'd point you over to the website where I found these videos, but the site is A: very political and I do not wish for this to be political, and B: so overloaded right now that many of the videos are not available.

NASA Simulation of the flooding

#2 Postby Kiko » Sun Sep 04, 2005 4:00 pm

The City That Care Forgot floods... a simulated view of storm surge flooding on Lake Pontchartrain and the New Orleans area. You can see the lake on top and river snaking thru at the beginning, then it's one big lake. Vid is about 10 frames.

See the NASA simulation here as the city fills with water:

Windy, Michael Chertoff is the head of Homeland Security. Mary Landieu (sp?) is the Senator from Lousiana.
