The storm killed 200 people and caused $200,000 in damage (Today would be over 100 Billion easily) The storm is the only major Hurricane to make landfall in New Jersey, but being 1821, I doubt it's accuracy.
This was also the storm where William C. Redfield discovered that Hurricanes were round, by studying the pattern in which the trees fell.
Does anyone have memories of this Hurricane?
