Well I am back home and as usual we got way worse damage in Meridian than in Ocean Springs. I told Mom next time she just needs to evac to us--LOL.

Not as bad as Ivan last year. Only lost power for about 12 hours and not much debri in Mom's yard. We didn't get to go in town and look at the damage because many streets were blocked and they were asking people to stay away until they could clear power lines.

I hope everyone was safe and I AM NOT looking forward to Emily whenever she comes--mext week or next month. As always thanks for all the informational and emotional support both on the board and in chat. You guys are the greatest!

Well I am safe and secure. We went to the Sheriffs Office located in our County Courthouse which is very safe and secure. We actually got worse winds and more limbs down from Cindy last week than we did from Dennis. I am thankful that we were spared but don't know how long our luck will hold out in Mississippi! Looks like Emily may be aiming at us again according to local EOC Manager and WLOX 13 Mike Reader...just to keep a watch looks like a Georges track...yuk!!!!!!!

So, to whom should I PM my situation? Is there one mod who's handling everything, or will any of you accommodate?

Duckie (GalvestonDuck) would be the one right now. Any other time it would be southerngale, Duckie or myself. Stay safe!!

Just sent my "stuff" in to CajumMama. If the track on this storm maintains its present course, it may be a long while afterwards before I can get my S2K fix again!! That'll be sad... This is the legal addiction, right??!! :D

Duckie,

Sent you an email with my info. If Katrina follows her forcast track, we'll probably be out of power for an extended period of time here. I'll check in with you guys when I can.

Well, we're here in good ol' Auburn, AL. We left Mobile around 11 this morning and I-65 turned out to be okay-- not the nightmare we feared. We had plenty of good company from MS and LA. This is just an unbelievable situation that it is beyond words. I cried too much already and it isn't even here yet!

LSU2001 -- anyone heard from Tim, in chat or perhaps a post I missed here? He's in southern Lafourche parish. Just wondering if he posted when he was leaving.
