Airbooats/Operators Needed? Please verify

My husband (Paramedic) has called me and indicated the latest rumour at the KSC Space Center is that FEMA is calling for anyone with an airboat to come up to LA and assist for a specified amount of $ per day - is there any truth to this rumour - can anyone verify - as we do have lots of guys down here who are EMS qualified, with airboats and are ready to go. Please let us know if so, more info....

Monday I had heard that they were having a lot come in from Florida- you might even contact local officials to see if they know if more are needed.
