For the sake of the survivors..

I am really hoping the national media does not just "dump this story" and move on to the William Rehnquist thing or whatever..

I know some people are probably getting a little tired of seeing the images over and over. But they need to be shown.. People need to be constantly reminded of how bad it is over there. Those also about complacency about not wanting to leave a major storm striking a major coastal area need to be warned what could happen if they don't.

Plus the NOLA, Biloxi, Bay St Louis, Slidell, people and many more, need the media to stay with this being the #1 story because if not they may think "Oh so we're just any other story now".

Stay with this story media.. Don't drop the ball and cover Rehnquist for hours upon hours. Yes he was a good man {maybe lol} but.. NO, Biloxi and so on.. need you guys more right now. Keep it that way!

Amen! I'm done now..

I totally agree! Hurricanes are a yearly thing and people must remember of Katrina's devastation and what could happen.

They need to show these images anytime a warning goes up for an area. Show the damage of a comparable storm and say this is what you face.

I agree........This is a wake up call AGAIN to the US. People forget so easily.
Another thing I am doing is researching the EMERGENCY plans here in my area. Scary thought to think that the town you might live in is incompetent or unprepared. I want to KNOW.

Bumping because i agree this is a wake up call for all of us along the Gulf Coast. So many times we have missed the storms. I know Katrina has woken me up. Never will I stay for a 4 or a 5. I have always thought I was safe in Fairhope but after seeing pictures of the Gulf Coast in Mississippi I have my doubts now. Pictures of towns~I seen towns similar to mine that is up on a bluff except the beach area and it is damaged beyound recognition.

Like I stated.. I'm just hoping the media stays with this story for a LONG time.. Not move on to something else..

I think that everyone has seen the destruction now. Red cross has raised over $150,000,000 (and that was two days ago) and the rest of the world is pitching in. I think this is big news, but when nothing is happening then I expect nothing to be reported.

The media should bring us whatever developments they get. If there are none, then they should move onto something else.

That's just my opinion, its fine if you disagree.
