I got really good news-no damage to grandparents home!
I got really good news. My dad, grandpa, and 2 of my uncles left to go to MS yesterday. They went to Kiln, right outside Picayune to go check out my grandparents home. My uncle also lives in the home with his 10-year old daughter who he has full custody of. Anyway, no damage! I was shocked but really happy and relieved. Because the NE eyewall passed right over them. Maybe it is because they live 20 miles inland, down a rural country road. Lots of trees down, but only very minor damage to the roof. I pray for the people who were not as fortunate and you are in my thoughts. My aunt and the elderly lady she takes care of still does not know the status of their homes. My aunt lives in Kenner near Lake Ponchatrain and the elderly lady lives in New Orleans.
