Power in Long Beach

#1 Postby cancunkid » Sun Sep 04, 2005 4:46 pm

I just talked to the only one of my cousins who still has a house in Long beach and she says they just got power and phones on north of the railroad tracks. Things are looking up for her.

My cousin in Long Beach (north of tracks) doesn't have power yet but phones are starting to work. Got my first cell call in to them tonight. They have been able to call me every day. New poles and transformers installed on their street this week-end so they're hopeful they will have power soon.

Just heard on MSNBC that electrical workers have restored power to the French District and about 25% of the Mississippi gulf coast. Hopefully your cousin will get power today. My cousin is on Rosemary if that gives you an idea how closer it might be to your cousins.

Big hand to the private sector electrial workers! :team:
