Stories you haven't heard from New Orleans...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't want to sound like an "insider" but at this point I am. I have a Step-Brother-In-Law that is currently stationed at City Hall in New Orleans with the Incident Command Center.

Here's what hasn't been reported. Remember the man who shot at the rescue helicopters at the SuperDome? Here is what you haven't heard. After he ran out of ammuntion the crowd gathered at the Superdome overwhelmed the man and threw him off the concourse to the ground, he was killed.

Currently, he has also estimated that 100 people have been killed by military and police personnel for shooting at contractors and other support personnel that have been sent in to help. At this point he reports that only 5 have been reported by the news. These incidents are happening way to far from the news crews to see.

He has stated that now things are much safer for contractors and other personnel in NO at this point though. Any person/persons seen taking an aggressive stance is being "taken care" of with no mercy. Martial law has become an unfortunate necessity. It's a shame that this has to happen in an American city but I think we should agree that we can't let anarchy rule in this abandoned but GREAT city.

I get new news from the "front" of NO everyday as I have the relative of the person stationed in the Command Center in City Hall (my step-sister) living with me for the next few months.

BTW....for those that know me, all of my family are safe and accounted for and my brother will be leaving Iraq on Tuesday. He will be home on Sept 17.

The key word is ARMED. These are not meer looters but really Gangsters intent on harming innocent looters(those just trying to survive), rescue workers, contractors trying to get the city back etc.

If you are carrying a gun and shooting at people you dersive to die.
