Anybody seen Shep. Smith Lately?????

#1 Postby LSU2001 » Mon Sep 05, 2005 9:38 am

Has anyone seen any reporting on Fox by Shepard Smith. He was doing a wonderful job but the other night he looked like he was about to have a melt down. Havn't seen him since. Seen Geraldo a bunch bu no Shep. Just wondering if I have just missed him or if he really has not been on. I have also noted an absence of GOV. Blanco the last few days.

With any luck he will return and they can shuffle Geraldo back off somewhere else.

Every time I see Geraldo I notice that he is spazzing out.

Shep may be taking a well deserved break in north MS, in his hometown near Memphis.

I didn't see him all weekend. He looked mentally drained the last time I saw him, Friday night on Hannity & Colmes. I think this has really affected him. He's been in New Orleans all week, seeing things that are just unimaginable to most people.

he is usually off on the weekends - maybe return Tues since today is a holiday? He was traumatized, that was apparent. I know I would have been as well - feel I am without even being there in ways.

I know how you feel artist. Yeah, he's usually off on the weekends but not always when there's major stuff going on. He was working last weekend before Katrina hit.

He really needed some time off though so I'm sure he's just getting some much-needed rest.

Well he is supposed to be on David Letterman tonight so I bet he is back in NYC.

Poor man is probably getting some mental health counseling. Seeing what he has seen he probably needs it.

Saw Shep on Fox news within the last hour.
He looks remarkably refreshed-just like his old self.

But this time I think no matter what he said, the stuff going on around him was worse than he described it to be. Luckily these people are finally out of NO for the most part :)

I agree, but some people like Shep report with class and dignity and some seem to try to add drama to it. For me Shep is Oprah and Geraldo is Jerry!!

Shep deserves his industry's highest reporting award. He's been that good.
