Nothing for us europeans ?!?

#1 Postby rikwes » Thu May 29, 2003 2:33 pm

I just joined this forum a few days ago , because I was told that it was a great forum. After looking around a bit , I totally agreed , but there is a major gripe with these kind of forums : They are totally focused on the USA and all weather-events for the USA only . This forum isn't any different : all the maps and data are only useful if you happen to be interested in US-weather , which I am but not to the extent that I'm not interested in my own region anymore. This is a major downer for this forum . I'm also a member of The weathergab-forum and it was the same at that site . They changed this however when I made them aware of this oversight , and I'm kind of hoping you will do the same  . European ata and sattelite pictures aren't that hard to find ( http://www.wetterzentrale.de springs to mind for comprehensive data or http://www.westwind.ch/?name=xhir for data for all of the world , but focused on europe ; best one I found for sattelite-imagery I found sofar is : http://www.allmetsat.com/en/index.html ) . So you see : apart from radar-data , which is nigh on impossible to get for free in europe , there is plenty to be found to accomadate your overseas members ). I noticed you already do this for Australia , so why not for Europe and the asian members???

I like when we have international members...its brings a perspective of weather around the world.

Post away on the Global Wx page... We'll read your weather observations. :D :-)
