My new question:
What tropical cyclones have effected or even made landfall in Africa? I understand tropical storm Delta (2005) was close but didn't exactly impact Africa? I'm not talking about storms in any other basin then the Atlantic.
African tropical cyclones

Well, although it's not really a landfall, TS Christine (1973) formed over Africa. Also, the Cape Verde Islands are technically part of Africa... so they've endured a few landfalls over the years. However, there has been no bone fide landfalls no the mainland continent, resulting from Atlantic storms.

The original question referred to the Atlantic Basin only. The landfalls on the east coast of Africa occur primarily with Southern Hemisphere storms in the South Indian Ocean. Landfalls from the Arabian Sea are very rare due to dry air entrainment killing the storms before they hit Africa.
