Question about TD 10 (Katrina)

When did the wave that became TD 10 come off of Africa (if at all)?

The tropical wave that became TD 10 2005 came off of Africa on August 8, 2005. The tropical wave that merged with the remnant of TD 10 came off of Africa on August 11, 2005.

Actually, I have a satellite photo of the wave coming off the west coast of Africa on the morning of August 6th, not the 8th. The NHC may have begun talking about it on the 8th, but it was already offshore by then.
