Yes, that's correct. The flight should come out of Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS.

This flight has to come from St Croix. The coordinates listed are 1700 miles from Keesler, and less than 500 miles from St Croix. They only give the flight one hour from takeoff to being on station.

Ah yes, that makes a lot of sense, thanks for pointing that out! :)

gatorcane wrote:why is this part in the public advisory - seems redundant. It makes sense if this was being broadcasted over a radio or something. I say remove it.

REPEATING THE 500 PM AST POSITION...20.6 N...54.9 W. MOVEMENT
TOWARD...WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 14 MPH. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...50
MPH. MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1000 MB.

No way, that's the section I read first! It's got all the data in one spot. It's a keeper IMO.

I actually like that it gets put in 2x.. and remember.. it gets broadcast over Noaa radios.. which would help if any mariners were that far out in the ocean..

It won't be nighttime in St. Croix though.

It won't?

11:30 PM Eastern = ???? in St Croix?
I think there would only be an hour difference if any there.

Maybe I am missing something or perhaps life is a lot slower in the Islands.,
Cerainly a whole lot more relaxing ( I think of the Corona commercials!)

8-) 8-)

(Just riding you a little Brent!)

I believe the WXWXA header means it's a training flight.
