Yes, HurricaneHunter914, we realize that. We have heard you basically scare yourself about it. Now, run for the hills..

That was really an uncalled for statement being that you are in Germany.

I must have missed that somewhere.

Big squall coming into to Tampa/St. Pete within the next few minutes. Will be interesting to see wind readings within that.

Yep I posted this question earlier - I think 40-50mph gusts are possible.

I was just wondering because everyone is saying that Alberto is very disorganized so I thought you guys didn't get the memo. But I guess I just can't have one person critisize me after one post.

NOT AN OFFICIAL FORECAST - just my prediction.

Did I nail this one or what (based on the predictions when it was a blob)? I am basically sticking to that prediction, which intensifies it to a hurricane in the next couple hours but weakens it from there before landfall in the Big Bend near St. Marks.

Note that nearly all the activity is on the east side of the storm and should remain so - don't follow that narrow line!

Current - 27.1/85.9 - 70mph - 997mb
6 hrs - 27.6/85.5 - 75mph - 992mb
12 hrs - 28.2/85.0 - 75mph - 988mb

Wait a minute I didn't mean to offend you by saying this TS has 70 mph winds. I was just asking if you guys knew that.

Does the center look exposed? Or am I looking at the wrong center?

It kind of reminds me of Earl (99? 00? I forget the year...) Strangest storm. Was a hurricane on its right quadrant while the left side of the storm was clear.

I suspect Alberto moved over the Loop Current and gorged itself, and now that it's moving away from the LC it might hold steady or weaken. But I dunno, this storm is full of surprises.

What? I can't type on S2K see how this system is doing and what other people think about it. I'm calm already I just hate it how people think they can read my mind and say that I'm cranky or crazy.

Lets not get the whole Alberto is dying thing going, just because convection has decreased. It looks way better then it did 24 hours ago. IMHO it will become a weak cane.

Alberto actually looks really healthy, alot better than what it used to be. At least the NHC doesn't say this about it now:
...DISORGANIZED

Sorry to sound mean, but can you actually give some reasons for your forecasts (e.g., why you think it will weaken/strengthen, why you think it will make landfall in a particular location, what you think will influence track/intensity/etc.) and why you think the synoptics and storm intensity and related things will play out. We need more detailed posts, in my opinion. Quality over quantity and simple thoughts... explain yourselves, please! Thanks!

Crazy -- you did call that days ago. St. Marks, woo hoo, let's go baby! We're getting some decent rain out ahead of Alberto, but no winds at all (as expected).
