Best looking Tropical Cyclone of the 2006 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Nuff said.

Hurricane Gordon should be a major hurricane currently since he has a perfect eye but the convection isn't very deep overall. That said, he is organized.

NO! Really? I thought Chris looked alot better :ggreen:

I wouldn't be suprised to see a cat 4 out of this personally.

Are they flying recon into this yet?

No recon. Has no threat of hitting land. I think 11pm this will be upgraded to 120 mph.

Looking at this, It's better looking then quite a few cat 3/4 storms.

I highly question 110mph but then again, But I can't back it up ether.

One thing I can say is 2006 has produced some of the most beautiful looking tropical cyclones I have ever seen. First Monica, Daniel, Ioke, and now Gordon. 2005 Atlantic had Katrina, Rita, Wilma and such but still.

Gordon could be a major hurricane by now because it has an impressive eye. I expect a Category 4 at its peak.

Wow... that's quite an eye it has.. Really looking good.. Wish recon missions weren't so pricey and they flew them into non-land threatening canes. Would be awesome to have some recon data on him.

Absolutely. I am about to write an amended prediction, increasing the initial intensity considerably.
