Convection to the east really diminishing, with all the new convection in the tail.

I'm thinking we now have 2 centers elongated SW to NE...the NE center is still generating convection...which could lower pressures further and allow the centers to meet somewhere in the middle, much closer to the main convection. (this is all based on visible imagery, btw...not surface observations)

If you look at the loop it seems that Alberto is reforming a new center near the convection.

I think you're seeing the formation of another eddy to the northeast of the center. That eddy is moving to the west. There's another eddy just east of the center moving to the northeast.

Guys, I just looked at a shear map and the shear is 0 knots right where Alberto is! And this map is from today so what the heck is going on? Another thing, the shear is decreasing where alberto is sitting. Just post it right now  .

If there really is no shear on the map, then why is there shear on it right now? Something I need a answer on.

It really looks more like an extra-tropical system than a tropical one ...

The center of Alberto now looks to be drifting E or SE of the 11am center. What is up with that? This thing is just meandering.

This one says b/w 20 - 30 knots.

Check out this loop. Notice the blow up of thunderstorms on the northeast side trying to wrap around

You can say that again, but then again this thing still looks really sick.

I agree it looks pretty pathetic, but TS Bonnie and TS Matthew of 2004 both looked just as pathetic if not more and still remained a TS. The LLC of this storm actually looks very good compared to many tropical storms of years past and even some hurricanes. The only problem is this has no convection associated with it's LLC.
