Interesting tommorow morning when recon will go to see if they first find a LLC and second if they find one if it is more north.

If a new low is trying to form were that blob is starting to develop at, expect a huge change in the forecast track for this system.

It might be redeveloping a center North of the old one, which would be fun in itself to watch. But the Easterlies are so strong, it's hard for these systems to develop.

There is too good of a spin with Earl to just write off. Tommorrow there will be no doubt he is a TS. He is struggling through the hardest part of the Caribbean.

Just last week Bonnie came from practically nothing, no convection at all at one point and most everyone wrote that depression off...but it still developed... and had it not faced a mountain of shear when in the GOM, it could have been a lot stronger than it was when it went inland .... I think it can and will come back over time.... even the NHC mentions that in its 11:00 pm discussion

Looks like the center could be relocated more north tomorrow.

And block out all imagery that shows anything near them from the satellites. What a bunch of jerks.

Then, you would have to say you refer to Cuba the same way.

Those models are mostly old now, some of the newer runs shift back to the right a little.

We are still at least two to three days away to tell where this sucker is going. He looks a little weak to me.

They might have been denied access because of Hugo Chavez, who is at odds with 'american imperialism'. Will be interesting to see if that government collapses like Earl may have tonight, as they are having a referendum on his rule.

Of note, convection is larger and better defined. Whether it has a LLC, we'll have to wait till tomorrow.

Rainstorm you are so ignorant its making my head throb. Send a cat 5 to Venezuela. Do you have no common sense?

HUGO CHAVEZ ISN'T SO LIKED IN VENEZUELA! They are a divided nation, and on the edge of civil war. The whole region is nuts (kind of like you, militant and unconcerned with human life). Many of the people are unemployed and poor. And the whole region is basically filled with strong man rule.

You know nothing, and are an example of what is wrong with America in terms of education, and the bloodthirstyness of humans in general. If your post can stand, mine can also.

A disgrace... man oh man, wishing death on people because they won't let America over their airspace, how demented and bellicose we have become...

If Earl is reforming underneath the new nocturnal convection, a situation similar to scenario 1 seems a bit more likely, as it will be closer to any trough in eastern NoAm. I still like the idea of the Omega block and deep vortex south of or over Hudson Bay, with a long wave trough still in the east. Models seem to want to stall the front out in the Midwest/Ohio valley, which tells me the ridge over FL and the Gulf means business. If that is the case, Earl's (if it even exists) track will depend on the westward extent of the ridge. If it is over FL, the storm would curve over the Yucatan and up into the western/central Gulf. If it extends into the Gulf, it has Mexico written all over it. Time to watch and wait.

Kevin, I agree with 100%. However, the only problem is... for some reason or another people joke around about this and other things... they proverbial fine line between joking and being serious on the internet.

The sense of humor on the vast amounts of weather and non-weather issues is too immense to understand each and everyone feelings without the proper use of emoticons and/or saying you are just kidding.

Earl Slowed His Forward Speed On Sunday...

#500 Postby Hurricane Cheese » Mon Aug 16, 2004 1:50 am

From what I recall, Earl was moving W at 28 mph on Sunday morning.

Now tonight, I see that Earl is moving at 22 mph, a 6 mph decrease in forward speed.

I know that Earl is still booking, and doesn't look quite as impressive as last night into this morning, but doesn't this slow down in forward speed inhance the possibility for development?

Hope someone can confirm this with me, both Earl's slow down and that a reduction in forward speed allows for quicker intensification...
