The current northward jog may cause him to miss the calm eye unless it wobbles back. We need his data for perhaps the lowest ground MSLP report in the Atlantic basin.

Every wobble matters now for towns along the coast and inland. It could be the difference between a severe hurricane hit (say, cat 2 conditions) and obliteration (the eyewall and cat 5 conditions).

Has anyone in Pinellas had issues with reception of the Weather Channel this morning ?

I do most of my storm following on Storm2k, but sometimes turn on TWC close to landfall (although often with captioning and without the volume to avoid the hype and fast talking)

This morning we have been getting black screens and other issues. Two sets are now tuned to TWC. One has been showing a still picture of Jim Cantore for quite a while. The other is showing Nickelodeon.

I was watching Fox Weather and they had pretty good coverage

Will likely landfall with winds of 190+ MPH, pressure sub 888-890.

This thing is intensifying right up until landfall, we just aren't going to have the data
