Things A Friend Would NEVER Do...

#1 Postby azskyman » Tue May 20, 2003 10:25 pm

A person can be a friend and still disagree, get angry, not call for a week, or simply stay away for a while.

But there are some things friends don't do.

When my son broke up with his girlfriend of 4 years, he found out about a month later that his roommate, his friend all through college, had been secretly seeing her behind his back.

Admittedly, she had no relationship loyalties to anyone after the breakup, but for his roommate to sneak around behind his back? Too much for him to take.

He moved out the next month.

From experience...what OTHER things do true friends NEVER do?

Wow sorry to hear that Steve. That is not good at all. Well, true friends certainly never backstab their friends, betray them, let them down, etc.

One of my true friends and I go for months without talking...but, we
are always glad to see each other, when we can "pull off" a dinner
or meeting! Another "friend" accused me of taking money from an
ex-husband who I had not seen since they divorced, to go against
her in court, paranoid because I had not talked to her in almost a
month. Now...who do you think the true friend is?

True friends don't get mad when you drop by their home, their new girlfriend comes to the door buck naked, and you are deeply offended

Awww, Perry - hugs for that one. As soon as I saw your name, I knew right off what you'd post. If only he could read these posts.....

Steve - sad about your son. And also just as sad, that happens more than you think.

Seems true friendship is hard to come by these days. And when you do find it, hang onto it!
