What is your favorite gemstone?

I like sapphires. The deep rich blue is so beautiful. I have diamond earrings, pendant and bracelet but all i have is one sapphire ring. Guess i should ask for sapphires for my birthday and christmas!!!

i also like diamonds and emeralds too........just like steph! :uarrow: :ggreen:


aquamarine are pretty too.

my mother used to have this big beautiful opal ring that is her birthstone..(oct.) and she thinks a co-worker stole it from her......like 20 years ago

I like my birthstone too (Rubies) and I also like emeralds and pearls.

I TRULY believe the story that the opal is bad luck to those who wear it when it is not their birthstone. :eek: It's happened to me and I will not wear one again. They are beautiful stones but there are plenty of others to wear.

Since purple is my favortie color, I do like amethyst as well. :D

My birthstone is peridot for August....a weird pale green color.

I always loved the ruby, and, don't mind to wear it, even though
it's not my birthstone!

I love Opals, always have. It is not my birthstone and I don't believe the luck thing. Some are more colorful than others, I am partial to the more colorful ones.

I love the opals also and it is my birthsone. I bought my first one when I was 15 years old after I had gotten a job. I still have the pendant but the chain wore so thin that it broke and I have replaced it several times in the 35 years I have had it. I am wearing an opal ring right now that my hubby gave me for Christmas a few years ago.
