if they do carry out this attack, our response must be nothing short than the total devastation of Mecca and Medina, and I mean total destruction. This seems like they are planning a WMD attack based upon the threat, so our response should be to destroy their core myths and values

Destroy Mecca and Medina and you have World War Three. Destroy Mecca and Medina and Saudi Arabia cuts off it's oil supply to the U.S. Pro-western governments are over-thrown throughout the islamic world. It would blow up the war on terror. Not to mention the wave of terrorist attacks and global condemnation. The U.S. would have no allies left.

I want to clarify my position that I stated yesterday

I fully stand behind what I siad, but I was not clear why. The reaosn why I advocate the total destruction of Medina and Mecca if we are struck by a WMD attack by Arab terrorists, is that we must send the immediate message that we will make terrorism so costly to them, that it is not worth committing any acts in the future.

Sounds like IF they were serious this time, they wanna attack Arizona which has open borders with Mexico and thats where a lot of nuclear plants are. Area51 isnt far from there either.

I have heard too that sports arenas could be targeted because of the large amount of people.

MY first thought was...The Summer Olympics, but since I don't watch them I don't even know if they are scheduled for this summer.

every two years there are Olympics. Since we just had Winter 2006 in Turin, Italy, the next will be Summer 2008, which are to be in Beijing.
