I go to church faitfully every Sunday. ( try to anyway) Unless it is a Sunday I have to work. I don't meet anyone at church or go to church for the purpose of meeting a guy. I go to listen to the mass and for God. Besides, basically every man even close to my age that is in church is with their wife and family.

And the hospitals around here don't have really any selection of single men. And she knows almost everyone there because she has been a RN there for at least 7 years. Unless I want to go after someone really young like 21 working on their internship. I know because my best friend works at the local hospital here in Houma and she says that basically every guy there is married or involved with someone.

Well, as far as church goes, I was meaning maybe they had some groups of some kind. Our Catholic church always needed volunteers for stuff like bingo, etc.
The hospitals always have turnovers. And, remember, there are patients that come too and I am sure they are not all married. Everywhere I have worked, there were as many single guys as married. Just look at all the single guys here at Storm 2k. All the men out there are not married. You just have to look around.

I would still go online and meet some guys. There is nothing wrong with it. I would do it if I were single There are as many lonely men, single, out there as there are women. Nowadays, like advertised on tv, there are great dating sites. You may have to pay something, but you spend that much going out with the girls. You have nothing to loose. And, don't be afraid of the net.

I am not afraid of the net. I have a Myspace and I met a few new people. But, out of state. Long distance stuff never works out. If I am meant to meet someone, it will happen on its own. You meet someone when you least expect it.

My sister got married the same year just 5 days after you did. :D

It was a VERY sweltering day though that I'll always remember.
Was nervous enough just ushering... :)

When my sister and her husband greeted the wedding guests row by row...along the way when she hugged a good friend of the family...her veil got hung up somehow in a man's eyeglasses!    Was also recorded by the videographer! They never did submit the segment to America's Funniest Videos though.

Sounds hilarious! You should sent it in to AFV!

I met my husband-to-be at the University of Illinois-Chicago in September, 1968. We dated exclusively for five years, married, and will be celebrating our 33rd anniversary this November! :D
