Very Sad Day today

#1 Postby cajungal » Thu Apr 27, 2006 5:56 pm

 Today was a very sad today at work. My co-worker just passed away this morning. It was so unexpected. A week and a half ago, she was driving home from work. And she blacked out and ran off the road and hit the side of an appliance store. When the paramadics got there, she was not breathing. It was discovered that she had a brain anerysym and it ruptured. She was rushed to the hospital an hour away in Baton Rouge. She had surgery and at first the news was very encourging. Then yesterday, she really went downhill. Had 2 strokes and they could not stop the hemorraging in her brain. Her heart was too weak to go on and she died this morning.

I can't believe she is gone. It feels like a big dream. I have known her for nearly 9 years now. She was the sweetest person. And it seems like every time I took my lunch or break, she was taking one too. I could be having the worse day ever and she could always put a smile on my face. She always made me laugh. I think she was a wonderful person. I just talked to her on the day the accident happened. We were in the breakroom on lunch joking and laughing. She seemed so healthy. But, other co-workers said she did complain of a headache that day and asked for some tylenol or something of the sort.

She was only 41 years old. And leaves behind 3 children whom she was extremly close with. She was a wonderful mother. Everyone at work that knew her was just devestated. It still does not seem real. I will miss her greatly.

So sorry for the loss. Every day we see reminders of why we must enjoy the days we have. We never know.

I just try to remember all the happy times. I think that is what she would of wanted. I always remember her with a smile on her face and always in a bubbly mood. I never once seen her upset in all the years that I have known her. It is still hard to believe that she is gone.
