Congratulations Hurricane Girl. It sounds like it was the best thing to do in your case. If I ever go that route it will definitely be after the kids are no longer dependents. Husbands definitely get the short end of that stick most of the time. (Reason #19 why I won't buy a house)

George wanted to buy a house around June of last year, but at that point I knew buying real estate would be a huge mistake and would make splitting up that much more complicated.

I got alot done yesterday, just have to do my health insurance stuff here at work and call my car insurance place today and I'll be done with everything.

George and I never had any joint accounts or credit cards, so I should be okay.
I knew better right away not to let him have access to my money. He was addicted to e-bay (Women's Prison Movies)
really bad and would have spent every dime in my account.
I just recently downloaded the forms for a Living Will and am going to do that very soon.
