Sources: Capitol 'gunfire' likely from air hammer
Law-enforcement sources at the Capitol said Friday that suspected sounds gunshots heard in a House office building were made by a mechanic using a pneumatic hammer on an elevator, security expert Mike Brooks reported. An all-clear was issued at the Rayburn Capitol Office Building after about five hours, Capitol Police said.
