I'm only asking because I feel like buying a cool shirt for the AI concert in August, but I don't feel like spending god knows how much at the concert {even though I know I will anyway lol}

I found a couple of cool Katharine shirts and I may wanna buy 1 lol..

I have bought tons of stuff off there, Lots of shorts and tops to wear around the house. Always check the sellers feedback. Make sure they have at least 98%. Do not buy something from a seller who is just starting, you never know. Read everything they say. Shipping is high, take that into consideration. Remember, not like a store. Sales are usually final. You can always email and ask questions. I usually buy from people who have sold a lot. Read their feedback from other customers. Start out by buying something $10 and see how you did. I always snipe. I never buy anything without sniping. That means, my bid will be put in automatically in the last 3 minutes, or less.
I never bid on anything until the last 15 minutes. If you bid early, the price just goes up.I bought my husband a new Bobby Jones navy blazer for $49. They sell for $400.

Yeah, it's legit, just check the seller's history(comments etc.).

My brother and his family buy and sell stuff on their all the time. My hubby, Marty does as well. I'd say that the majority of the people you deal with are honest. I'm sure that word gets around pretty quickly when someone is ripped off by another person.

Did you try the American Idol site for a t-shirt?

Millions of people have dealt on eBay; I've bought and sold...the worst experience I ever had was a buyer not leaving feedback.

Beware, though. There are bad people everywhere.

I buy stuff all the time. Ive had no problems as of yet... crossing my fingers because I'm waiting on 2 products as we speak. Just take the advice people have said already.. check the persons history (feedback). My gf had a problem when she ordered her video camera. The person was not legit and she sent a check for $300. She got her money back but it was definately a scare. Just make sure you know who your dealing with. Ask questions if neccessary and ALWAYS READ THE DESCRIPTION!!! Best scam I've heard of was when someone was saying that they were selling a nice sports car but it ended up being a pic and people bid hundreds of thousands of dollars on it. It went to court but the winning bidder lost because the description said they were bidding on a PICTURE of the car... not an actual car.

Make sure you pay with Paypal. As they are now part of Ebay, if you pay with Paypal and get ripped off they will refund the money.

Yes, PayPal is a must if you plan to buy a lot. If you get screwed with payments thru them, they will cover you.

Also, Ebay has used and New stuff. Every brand of clothing, for example, from all over the world, new and used, are sold there, from Chanel and Armani. So, don't think the stuff is crap, it is not. No different than shopping in a store, just cheaper.

When I go on a cruise, I can get a fabulous special occasion coctail outfit or dress for the dining room anytime for under $20. You get better choices than if you go to the stores.

And you know what, you can come home and sell that item back on Ebay and buy a new one for your next cruise or just keep it.

Ebay is fun.

Yes, but be careful. Use paypal and make sure the buyer is legit.

I bought a couple really darling linen summer capri outfits a couple week ago. They looked better when I got them then on the site....

Don't be afraid to try one purchase. Start out with something under $10, so if you are not satisfied, you are not out much.

I am always going thru the clothes to see what new has been added, It is fun.

So you better come if you know what is good for you..... for those of you who have not come to the Storm2k chatroom before or those who just hate chatrooms, once you come and see what is going on and all the fun, you will definately be hooked.

Thought you were hooked with the forums, you just wait and see how you will get hooked with the chatroom too.

Remember..................only Weather Chat... we have another room for Off Topic.

It will start in the late afternoon, but the room could also fill up sooner.

I set a timer and syncronize it with time remaining on anything I want. I'm what they call a "sniper" on E Bay. If I want it, I usually get it, and the key is to bid once with less than 30 seconds remaining on clock. If you have a cable modem, you might even be able to get one more bid in if somebody "snipes" you.

As far as being legit?? I personally find any kind of selling, wheather it be legal "scalping" or the "illegal" variety ok in my book. Nobody puts a gun to my head and makes me buy.

we have found some pretty incredible things there. our ivory collection came almost entirely from ebay. my anne rice collection, some native american items, etc.

but just like any retail outfit, you have to be smart.
