How many Storm2k members does it takes to change a light bulb?


1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"

Well since the topic has been resurected-When will FEMA guy arrive to determine damages on the original light bulb? And when will Jim Cantore arrive to report on the light bulb being changed?

This is like deja vu all over again.

I just changed a light bulb last night. I used the stand-on-the-floor-and-reach-up-to-the-fixture method. It was a store brand 40W soft white. The fixture has two spots but I only put one in. I did not clean the glass cover.

By not cleaning the glass cover Ed, you increase the potential debris field when the next one blows.

Oh boy! I remember when this thread was originally posted. I laughed and laughed.

It's looking like this 6 month resurrecton thing is becoming somewhat of a tradition.
