You know it is hot outside when......................

The pool water feels like bath water

When you go outside and turn around and come back in

Send some of that hot weather over here, ok? These grey and rainy skies here are beginning to annoy me.

When I was a kid, I remarked to our priest: "It sure is hot today." to which he repied, "You think this is hot, wait'll after you die."

Ever since then I used that remark whenever someone complains about the heat. It usually gets a chuckle. (I didn't want to just say it without the story, because it might offend or scare someone.)

I'm quite happy with them at the moment. Anyway I wouldn't complain as that occluded front over you which is decaying is remnants of Alberto ;). Much better than last week when it was 30C here and the house turns into a giant greenhouse.

Well...let's see. You know it is hot outside here when the forecast is for 110+ for at least the next week! And while you can't fry an egg on the sidewalk, you can get blister burns from touching metal parts on a car that's been sitting in the sun all day.

It was here, but big difference is the rain amounts. We had record breaking June rains last year, it rained every dern day. I do think alot of people are experiencing above avg. tempatures for this time of year.

It's 91 here now.
Humidity is 55%. Not too bad.

It's so hot, the trees are whistling for the dogs.

It wasn't here. During a normal summer we get frequent afternoon rains which keeps the soil wet, which in turn, keeps the temperatures down(around 90). Because it hasn't rained much in the last month and a half, today we're expecting Upper 90's and if this pattern continues we'll have 100 degree readings soon, something we haven't had on a big scale in several years.

You know its hot when the dog follows you out and immediately turns around to go back inside, and he's looking at you like are you crazy.

Cold front last night. 70's today. back to the 90's tomorrow.

One thing about the weather: Everybody always talks about it but nobody ever does anything about it.

Since my area has topped record highs in Mid-May, we were on a verge of setting record highs, but didn't even come close.
