I haven't opened my door to any traveling salesman for years (mostly b/c their products are scams) but I'm shocked at this story. They always seemed shady to me but not criminal. Unless it's neighborhood children fundraising or selling Girl Scout cookies, I just don't open the door. I shoo them away and if they persist I hold the phone near the window, saying I will call 911 unless they get off my property.
I'm glad this lady got away. Her kids were home!

Just a friendly warning from me. This isn't the first alarming warning officials have given for salesmen in the Cincinnati area lately. There have been others, some put their foot inside your front door and demand you buy their product!
