Poor Steph. I feel so bad for you. I wish you lots of sun to warm your heart and spirit. The tanning bed sounds good. Then you'll look tanned and healthy while everyone else looks pale and washed out. I wish I could do something to cheer you up.

Hugs,
Debbie

Hey, thanks again guys!

Since I have to go outside to smoke, I made sure that I stood in the sun (yes, the sun DID come out today!). I even did some weeding when I came home and made a compost bin out of an old rubbermaid trashcan. I think I poked enough air holes in it, but we'll see.

Anyone who's ever had to deal with depression knows the feeling of emptiness and loneliness that you can get for no reason. I've been downloading alot of music lately, and I've noticed alot of them are beautiful, but sad songs like "Vincent", "I Started A Joke", "Angel", etc.
Well, I just downloaded "Wake Up Everybody" which is pretty upbeat.

Unfortunately Karan, I wasn't one of the fortunate ones that LOST weight with Prozac. I went the other way which could happen too . Just my luck!

ANYWAY, thanks for your concerns and friendship. I knew I came to the right place!

OK Stephanie.... Coming from a guy who changed his whole life...his entire environment...because he needed sunshine in his life, I know exactly where you are coming from. I can't tell you how many times when I am out walking in the morning sun that I say to myself, "It doesn't get any better than this!"

Of course, this time of year the heat controls time outdoors, but sunshine is still plentiful.

Continue your daily vigil of trying to find a little sun...going out in it when you can. And perhaps you should name or nickname one of your kittens or cats "Sunshine."

That way, right in the middle of a cloudy day you can look across the room and say, "Great, here comes sunshine!"

Kathy and I actually enjoy a rainy day here...although TRUE rainy days are very rare. If they fall on a weekend, they do give us reason to sit back, do some reading, and enjoy them.

By September, of course, we are SO tired of the heat that even a plane flying over will find us trying to chase his shadow down the street!

Hang in there, girl. Life will deal you a little sunshine in one form or another any day now.

AWW Steph, I am so sorry you feel in the downy dumps

I get that way too sometimes (it is homesickness with me) I have day's where even the slightest familiar smell will get the tears trickling.

The clouds and rain only seem to dampen the spirits when it continues on a daily basis. But hang in there and the sun will come out and you will feel loads better :)

Sending sun to you from the sunshine state :)

Hang in there, if you ever need someone to talk to I am here for you. My mom is bi polar and has been treated with prozac and many other drugs too. She has her ups and downs just like you, she ALWAYS bounces back, even though sometimes she feels like she cant.. The lord carries her through those times, and she is soon back to her old self.

Footprints in the Sand
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonged to him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you".

This beautiful poem was written by Mary Stevenson.

I am today, Bron. It's another beautiful day here - the sky is a pretty blue!

Sometimes you just need to let it out and a shoulder (or 2, 3, 4, etc.!) to lean on!

Thanks again!
