One of the most anticipated movies of the summer premiered Friday morning in the Mobile area.
There was a big party at a Gulf Shores movie theatre for the showing of "The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."
Johnny Depp and an assortment of strange looking pirates star in the film.
Another star of the movie is the pirate ship, the "Black Pearl." It was built at Steiner Shipyard in Bayou La Batre.
Thursday night, there was a party at the Cobb Pinnacle 14 Theatres in Gulf Shores where people dressed up like pirates in honor of the movie. Among those on hand: the developer of Captain Morgan's Island Resort set to open in Orange Beach in May of 2007.
At least for one night, everyone was a pirate at heart.
A photographer was also at the party to take pictures of customers and pirates for a donation that went to Gulf Island Zoo.
The Black Pearl that was used in the newest movie The Pirates of Carribean was built in Bayou la Batre, AL.
