Explosions in Door County, WI

Cedar Point Resort and the Pioneer General Store were rocked by three separate explosions early Monday morning causing two deaths. Two explosions happened at Cedar Point and the other was the Pioneer General Store. One building (condo) at Cedar Point was completely leveled... it spent most of monday smoldering. A mother and father died (grandparents and children are ok, but hospitalized) The maintenance building at Cedar Point was also rocked off its foundation. The Pioneer General Store was rocked off its foundation leaving the first level collapsed with the second floor walls trying to stand. HWY 42 through Ellison Bay has been closed until the Pioneer Store is bulldozed.

I just read about this story today Shannon. As you may recall, our family vacationed in Door County, 2 years ago. We stayed in Fish Creek but drove thru Ellison Bay, several times. What a shock when I read this online. So very sad to learn there were deaths.

Article said probable propane gas leak.

Cases like these can be suicides too......

As of right now, it is still being ruled probable gas leak. WPS was working last week around the resort.
