Naomi Campbell not recognised

#1 Postby AussieMark » Wed Jul 12, 2006 12:53 am

not sure if this has been posted if it has I appologise

NAOMI Campbell fled a shop in tears after a shop assistant refused to believe she was who she said she was.

The supermodel was shopping for luggage in Peter Jones, in London, but when she handed over her credit card, the store assistant reportedly said: "I don 't think you're Naomi Campbell" reports BANG Showbiz.

Once Campbell realised she was being serious, the pair exchanged heated words. Campbell, 36, angrily insisted she was the real deal.

A spokesman for the model said: "There were a lot of people in the store and the situation was humiliating. Naomi was shaking with anger."

Store management reportedly tried to intervene but Naomi stormed out. Campbell is awaiting trial for an alleged assault on former assistant Ana Scolavino.

Well, that's kind of silly. It's not like there can't be more than one person named Naomi Campbell anyway. Even if she didn't think she was THE Naomi Campbell, the clerk didn't have the right to tell her that wasn't her name or her credit card. Why not at least ask for an ID?

I hope she reported the merchant to her credit card issuer. The merchant was clearly in violation of his merchant agreement with the credit card company.
