Paranoid

#1 Postby azsnowman » Tue Jul 11, 2006 6:35 pm

With the recent happenings in the big cities, New York (house explosion and now the subway smoke in Chicago).....seems there are numerous *rumors* and speculation by the media  (that explains it "LOL!) that these *maybe, could be, possibly* be terrorist related.....are you paranoid that another major terrorist attack is just around the corner?

Me? Naaa...there's nothing I can do about it anyway and the way I look at it, if the Good Lord needs me more, then so be it.....I can't say "Oh Lord wait, I still have things to do, things to buy, etc, etc." 8-)

No, I think that these are unfortunate incidents.

What happened in India though was definately terrorist related. I pray for all of the victims and their families!

Same for me, nothing I can do about it. But to be honest. But to be honest, I do feel 'different' when I'm walking through my cities main train station. Especially after the Madrid bombings. I just can't forget the fact that the train station I'm walking through is one of my country's best targets for terrorists, since it's very crowdy, ambulances can't get there and it's the most important station in the country. I should really get these thoughts out of my head though...

I wouldn't say "paranoid"(I live in a small town, there is no mass transit to worry about here), but I do think about it everyday. I'm honestly surprised we haven't been attacked again. Every little incident that happens I do think terrorism at first. It's just human nature after 9/11.

Yes, it concerns me. A lot going on at the same time. I just can't worry about it. I am worried about a hurricane tho. I can see it coming.....

Just thank God for every morning you wake up and if we do get hit, we will go on like 9/11.

Negative events will happen, they have for hundreds of years and will continue to do so. There is nothing we can do about it except not live in fear.

If people lived in continual fear of every event in the newspapers so much of the good things in life would be replaced by negatives. Yes horrible things happen, yes they will continue to happen. My theory, God is in control of my life, if something happens (the good or the bad) I need to learn from that event or situation and see how I can change my reactions or even learn to just let things go.

A heavy heart and a mind filled with worry tends to blot out the wonders and simple beauties of everyday life.
