Winsor Pilates?
Tying in with Cajun Mama's makeup topic, has anyone bought Mari Winsor Pilates' tapes/DVD's? And if so, have you noticed they help you lose weight and stay toned?
I saw an infomercial today about it. I've been aware of Mari Winsor for a while now, catching previous info-mercials for her product/exercise program. It does make sense, some of the tried and true floor exercises that I've done for years, are the ones I was taught in Gym class, way back when (mid 70s). Her exercises seem similar and so simple and yet, I'm guessing they yield the results you want.
She has a ball you use now, more like a round open disc, you hold with both hands while you go thru the routine.
Just wondering if it's all ~really~ worth it!

Fitness circle....that's the correct name for it! Nina bought a Pilates tape and instruction booklet a while back. I might try to find it. The exercises seem so close to what I describe as my old fashioned, simple floor exercises - they do really work. But Pilates is different from them, in a way. Hard to explain.
When the Winsor Pilates info-mercial began, the DVD's, book and circle were running around $50, plus shipping. By the end of the half hour, the price was down to $10 plus shipping. I almost called. But since I've only purchased one product this way - a cookie press on the shopping network - I hesitated.
Thanks for the info sunny!

Oh, I'm sorryHow long have you been practicing Pilate's? It should actually help with your back, Pilate's is "reparitive" exercise (or so they so).
I hope you feel better.
This coming Monday will be the beginning of the 8th week and honestly, I DO feel better and my back is getting better, I will never be able to get completly off my pain meds, I have degenerative disc disease, 2 ruptured discs but the pilates DO help.....instead of 40 MG. of Hydrocodone a day, I now take 20-30 MGs. per day and hope to be down to 20 mgs. a day!

Eeks! That has to be painful. I'm glad the Pilate's are giving you SOME relief and hope that you are able to reach your goal in reducing your pain meds.
