'American Idol' Ruben Studdard Loses The 205 Garb

(6/12/03, 10 a.m. ET) -- Don't expect to see American Idol winner Ruben Studdard sporting any more of those 205 jerseys. According to Entertainment Tonight, the singer has abandoned the loose-fitting shirts that feature his area code. He told E.T., "[I'll] always represent area 205, but," he added, 205 Flava is not indicative of what he's all about.

The "Flava" refers to the small Birmingham boutique that manufactures the jerseys--and they're surprised by Studdard's sudden detachment from their product.

205 Flava's website still has photos of Studdard prominently displayed and advertises "Sweet Home Alabama Fest 2003," featuring the last two episodes of American Idol on a movie-sized screen.

205 Flava's owner, Willie Jenkins, did not return calls by press time.
