But yeah, there is a learning curve to putting them in and taking them out!

My wife, being the classic woman, changes her's while she's driving.

Changing contacts while driving... absolutely not. I'm thankful I can see relatively clearly without them in.... (I've driven with them in the wrong eyes before... that was fun!)

I got my trial lens - these lens are actually very comfortable!!! My right lens will need to be adjusted, but other than that I think we may be onto something :D

Re: Lasik, etc - Be sure to do some homework on the POSSIBLE side effects. Don't rely just upon the super-happy-smiling-patients in the SALES brochures and TV ads. Google a search for "Lasik side effects" or "Lasik nightmare" and get both sides of the story. Me, I'd rather be changing out glasses or contacts and not corneas or eyeballs.

Thanks HurriCat. Yeah, I've talked to a few more people who were not quite as happy with the Lasik as others.

 I've been wearing contact lens since I was 12... refused to be the class "four eyes"! I, too, am having the problems with dry eyes. I used to be able to wear the monthlies, then the weeklies... now I can't stand them in my eyes overnight!!! I wear the accuvue with hydroclear, but I need new ones so I am going to try your recommendation for the Optix2... thanks. Hope they come in colors... sometimes I just have the urge to get rid of theese green eyes... and make them a little "softer". Too many people tell me I have "evil" eyes!!! lol..... But then again I should consider that a compliment.... being the Grim.
