Weather computer Program

#1 Postby flyersfan0044 » Sat Aug 05, 2006 2:48 pm

Hello all, first message on here. I was just curious if anyone knew of a computer program that had scrolled a severe weather crawl on the bottom of the desktop when a warning or watch has been issued. Weather Depot has exactly what I want, however being a poor college kid paying off his tuition, its hard to pay the subscription fee every month. Does anyone know any FREE programs that I can download that have this? Or does anyone have any idea how I can go about making this computer program? I tried making one, but it was a huge failure. Thanks for any assistance.

Check out The Weather Channel. I think they have something like that on their website.

Welcome, by the way! :D

My local new stations provide them. Its called a desk top alert. It beeps and flashes in your system tray in the corner when there is a severe weather alert, mine also does breaking news. Best feature I like is it also puts the current temperature next to your time. :D Good luck, and welcome to the boards!

Local Stations, Weatherbug or Weather Channel all have some sort of alert.
