I didn't get to watch it because I was recording Grey's Anatomy for a coworker. But as soon as the credits were rolling for GA, I switched over to catch Regis signing off with you-know-who's face there in the camera and he said the name one more time. I was like, "Alright!!" but then came to the net just to be sure. Found the definite answer on the winner's webpage because NBC hasn't updated yet for obvious reasons.

Ever since the first song she did, 'And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going', she was the natural winner in my book. Yet even though Brandy called her 'her favorite', Pierce said he'd never ever heard a voice like that on an 11 year old, and David called her a "star", the judges didn't pick her - America did! Whoo-hoo!!
