MISSING/ KIDNAPPED??? 2YR OLD BABY BOY In Florida

#1 Postby GrimReaper » Thu Aug 31, 2006 2:56 pm

**When I first read the thread about the missing 3yr old... I thought it was the same story.... but it's not!!! Hmmm I think someone is exacting revenge for this kid's Grandfather's crime!!!

LEESBURG, FL (AP) -- Authorities are questioning relatives, neighbors and local sex offenders in an effort to find a toddler who disappeared from his bedroom last weekend.

Trenton Duckett, 2, was last seen in his room at 7 p.m. Sunday. His parents first noticed he was missing around 9 p.m. Leesburg police said a screen on a window in the boy's room was cut. They believe the boy is in danger and are looking at all possibilities.

"We have no real updates," Leesburg Capt. Steve Rockefeller said Thursday. "It's still under investigation."

The toddler is the grandson of Florida death row inmate James Duckett, convicted in 1988 of raping and drowning an 11-year-old girl.

"Jimmy's got to be standing on his head," said Don Jordan, James Duckett's older brother. "We're trying to give Jimmy something to hang on to. The chaplain called and asked us to call as soon as we know something, but we don't know anything." Trenton Duckett was last seen wearing a striped shirt and denim shorts.

Leesburg police, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI are working on the case. Volunteers also are circulating fliers with Trenton's picture.

"It's a very intense investigative effort," said Andrew Vita, a member of Team Adam, a unit of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. "They (officers) are working all night long."

I certainly hope that this is not a revenge crime. This little fella did nothing wrong. Second, what the Grandfather did is despicable! He should have been euthanized a LONG time ago for doing that to a little girl. But, to seek revenge by using a 2 year old? That is just as sick as sick can be!

I've been following the tragic Marcus Fiesel murder here in the Cincinnati area and found a link for Court TV message boards. There's a topic for this missing Florida child, you might find info thru this link:

http://boards.courttv.com/showthread.ph ... did=273552

I hope and pray he is found safe but after what we all just went thru up here in Ohio, I fear the worst here. Which is terribly sad to realize. If in fact harm did come to him.

:(

lets hold judgement on the revenge angle. parents being in the middle of a nasty divorce may be a clue here.
