Working hard...Traveling 9/22-24!

#1 Postby therock1811 » Fri Sep 08, 2006 11:20 am

I started a new job on 9/1. I am a demonstrator for American Home Design, which sells sunrooms, decks, and windows. My job consists of taking registrations for a contest to win a free sunroom, and also taking info if people want to have a representative of the company do an in-home survey. I make $8/hour, and commissions. It's a good job but it does cut into my social life. Ah well, those are the breaks. Anyway, the point of this is, if I'm not around that much for a couple weeks, it's due to work, and something else: I am searching for a new apartment. It was time to move, and I am looking around Florence for a place. So, all of that is taking a lot of time, and if I'm not around, you know why.

Update...

#5 Postby therock1811 » Thu Sep 21, 2006 9:04 pm

First, thanks for the prayer and support. It's greatly appreciated. My family and I are on great terms with each other. However, my move has been pushed back...I've decided to wait until I have a little more in the bank before continuing the search. But, the job has still gone well...so well in fact that they have asked me to travel to Georgetown, Kentucky tomorrow and work a festival down there all weekend. So, I now need prayer for safe travel this weekend...it's gonna be crazy.

I'm already in the state since I live here...just have to drive 60 miles south to get there.

Well it was a safe, albeit soaker of a weekend for me. We actually came back to Florence Saturday evening due to the floods in that part of Kentucky. Elkhorn Creek, which runs around Georgetown to the north and east, flooded Saturday morning and it was almost certain to occur again Saturday evening.
