#1 Postby furluvcats » Tue Sep 26, 2006 1:14 pm

Hey folks....whats a do not miss thing to do in /near Baltimore? The SD Chargers are flying us there for the game this weekend and we have fun events scheduled through them....but we also have a bit of down time and wondered if there were any fabulous reaturaunts, shopping, things to do and see that someone may like to share with us???? Open to any and all suggestions!

My friend is driving in from NY so we'll have a car!!! How close is DC???

We are only there this sat and leaving early Mon am...the game is at 1pm.

Furry - I frequent Trip Advisor's forums and hotel review links. They are very helpful. You can post questions for a specific locale and locals respond, with hotel, restaurant, sight seeing, type replies. Almost anything you ask (within reason), they offer help with. It's saved me from staying at some pretty pitiful hotels already.....

Ya I love trip advisor...I have posted many a review on there! hahaha
Our hotel is taken care of by the Chargers and they are putting us up at a mighty fine hotel...I just wondered of any first hand reccomendations from anyone around here! We have parties and receptions that will take up a lot of time for us, but if there is something spectacular there I do NOT want to miss it!!!!

Well, same here. I've posted hotel reviews as well. I feel as if it's my duty, since previous customers have greatly helped me.

Hopefully someone will reply.....

Gotta be careful in Baltimore..all I can say. Stick to well travelled streets when possible and be extra careful after dark. Pretty much the same precautions u would take in any big city. Baltimore is about an hour from DC btw. Baltimore Harbor is beautiful (if u like harbors lol.) Ft McHenry is there too.

Have fun!

Much to do in the Inner Harbor...DC is an hour away...on a good day. I would check out Annapolis - about 15 minutes south of Baltimore. Don't know your travel timeline, but the Annapolis Boat Show kicks off October 5th.

Inner Harbor is great - the Aquarium is awesome as well. It's only about another 1 - 1 1/2 hours to DC on I-95 from there. Make the most of it! :D
