Marine Back from Iraq

#1 Postby JenBayles » Mon Oct 02, 2006 9:26 am

Dave and I watched Matt grow up from a little skinny kid who had to wear ear plugs on the 4th of July to a Lance Corporal in the Marines. He has spent the past year and a half in Baghdad and is now home on a few weeks' leave.

All of us who know him and prayed for him were waiting at his house when he got home around 10:00 last night. It was a very emotional, but really really good evening. Semper Fi Matt!

Yes, please pass on to him that whatever divisions there may be in this nation on politics and policy the vast majority of all Americans, regardless of politics, are united in appreciating and supporting the service of out military forces.

God bless the USMC. Give Matt a welcome home kiss. I planted a bunch of welcome home kisses on my sons when they got home from the war.....MGC
