More than likely it was some neighborhood punks that did it.

Oh that just BLOWS! Posting text for posterity in case link isn't good after a few days...

Who Messed With Santa
Christmas Vandals

By Q. McCray

MOBILE - A local woman says her Christmas was ruined. This after she made a grim discovery in her front yard.

"I burst into tears this morning," Mary Lowery said. "I was devastated."

"I tried to put his head back on so he wasn't out here headless."

Lowery's Christmas took a turn for the worse this Tuesday morning.

"Someone in the middle of the night decided to come and destroy Santa," she said. "They took him all to pieces. I found him this morning with all his stuff all over the yard."

Lowery said whoever did this didn't do it quickly, because the Santa is tied to a rocking chair. She also said the vandals messed with Santa's gifts too. She says some of the toys are as old as Santa himself. And it's quite a history.

"Santa is from Springhill, LA. My great uncle made him originally," she said.

Lowery says that was 50 years ago. The Santa has been passed down from generation to generation.

"That's the Santa that everyone knew and took pictures with," Lowery explained. "He would rock there all years."

Not anymore. Santa's motor is useless now. He had been rocking on her porch every Christmas since 1993.

"I lost my dad in 2000 and Santa kept rocking," Lowery said sadly. "I lost my mother in 2002 and Santa kept rocking. I've tried to keep the tradition going."

Now her tradition is broken along with Santa.

"To them it was just a big joke, but it's devastating to a lot of peoples families," she added.

This Christmas all Lowery wants are some answers.

If you know who did this call Mobile Police. Lowery is looking for someone who might be able to fix the rocking chair.

Here in Lafayette there's a couple that puts out a nativity scene. Baby Jesus had been stolen twice this Christmas season. After the second time, a kind gentleman donated a third baby Jesus. Well, guess what! That one was stolen also.

Then to top it off, the kind gentlemans baby Jesus was stolen from his own nativity scene.

THIS IS EVEN WORSE! I know it happens and will happen again but at Christmas it makes it that much more sickening.

TAMPA - Deborah Pell's grandchildren are having the worst December of their young lives.

Last week, their mother died after suffering a cardiac arrest in their kitchen. Kristie Freeman was 36, Pell said.

Sunday, while Christopher, 14, Daniel, 10, and Alexandra, 5 - whom everyone calls Sassy - attended the funeral, someone broke into their house at 2908 N. 66th St.

"We pulled up in the driveway, and the back door was standing wide open," Pell said Tuesday. "I told my husband, 'Oh, my God, somebody's been in our house.'"

The burglars took a DVD player, television, Xbox video-game system and video games from the children's room, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

"Of all rooms to go to, the children's room," said Pell, 54. "That's just as coldhearted as a person can be."

Pell said the burglars also stole her husband's electric razor and blood-sugar monitor, and a gold necklace. She estimated the value of the items at $3,400.

Pell and investigators think the family was targeted by someone who knows them - "and who knew they were going to a funeral," sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.

A neighbor saw someone leaving the Pells' house with the family's belongings, Carter said. Investigators are pursuing leads.

Pell doesn't know what to make of the situation. "Everything's hit us so fast. We haven't had time to process anything," she said.

At least no Christmas gifts were stolen, she said.

Freeman and her children moved in with her parents years ago after her first heart surgery. She did not work full time but helped out in Sassy's kindergarten class at Kenly Elementary School, Pell said.

"The love of her life was the church and the children," Pell said.

The children will live with their grandparents. For now, the family is staying with a friend. "They've got the deepest loss they've ever had in their lives, and then to go home and feel invaded in their own home. … It's a little hard to go home right now," Pell said.

It seems like every year there is some nut(s) who decides to ruin Christmas to an innocent person/family doing these deeds. :x

I saw a video where someone broke into an elderly couples home, stole all of their presents AND their Yorkie. The dog is 13 years old and needs medication for kidney problems! This happened in Florida.

Click the link and play the video. It is the one with the dog showing. The clips are in the middle/center of the page.

The punks figured they have no Christmas in the "Ghettos" or "Projects", so they decided to ruin it for others.

Church's in the Tampa area are being broken into and they are stealing money and equipment. On the pastor's office wall was written Satan Rules so they are considering it a hate crime. The sad part is the money was going to the needy and now the church's may not be able to help.
