The Weather Channel (US) changes weather icons.

#1 Postby TexasStooge » Tue Dec 12, 2006 12:58 pm

This morning, TWC has changed their icons on their IntelliStars and weather.com to make them more NBC Weather Plus-like. You'll also notice a change in icons on my weather window site.

Before: Image (Still in use on National forecasts)
After: Image

What are your views/opinions on the change?

Me, I kinda like the change, but I still like the older icons better.

Doesn't matter to me either way. Change is usually good though it takes some people longer to adapt to change than others. You've got to change things up every once in awhile or things can be taken for granted.

That's true, although they don't seem to stand out as the last set.

The new ones make me think I forgot to put my glasses on! Oh, wait, I don't have my glasses on! :cheesy:

The new ones are definitely a little too fuzzy for my liking.

I agree Cajunmama, but I think that the other ones stuck out more as well.

Is it me, or did they make them slightly bigger? I recall them being somewhat small a few weeks ago.

The older icons had more shaper outlines. The new ones would work well when it is hazy! :)
