Weird stuff found on eBay...

#1 Postby senorpepr » Fri Feb 16, 2007 2:53 am

While doing some random searching on eBay tonight I found this little gem...

MYSPACE ACCOUNT FOR SALE; 100K FRIENDS, 5 DIGIT; NO URL

Yes, you've read that correctly... someone is selling their MySpace account. True, it's has a really low account number (account number 50,100ish out of over 150,000,000), and it has a ton of friends... but really... it's just a freakin' MySpace account.

Then again, if people sell jars of "Katrina wind" on eBay... why not a MySpace account.

Now... here's the kicker... as of press time... there has already been a bid for this account... for the price of $1,800.

I gotta start selling some of the useless junk around my home...

This is ridiculous... how could people bid on something like this... I guess people have a little extra time on their hands.

Seems you can buy anything on there. Someone sent me the link to a nuclear bunker on there the other day. Only 4.50m by 2.24m but went for £25,000! Best bit was the following quote. "There is room to park 3 tanks or 4 cars on the site."

A disgruntled Yankees fan tried to sell A-rod.

An angry Jets fan tried to sell Doug Briens head on a platter

A 9 year old girl tried to sell the monster under her bed

several people tried to sell their souls

and someone sold a beating. When to the highest bidder, he'd come to your house and knock your lights out.

It's $2,025 now. I think the idiots are thinking that the girl in the picture is part of the auction lot.

What's really weird is that that particular Ebay ID has NO feedback on anything sold, only bought. I don't know if this is the first thing this person has sold (because you can't hide feedback) or what. It's odd.

It sold for $2,125. And the worst part is that this isn't the only one - the "similar items" section shows as many as four more accounts for sale for big bucks. :yayaya:

Someone tried to sell sea water from around the MSC Napoli a little while back as well.  Got removed after people also started listing "salvage" they had nicked from the beach though.

Oh... you're gonna love this one: Your ad HERE! Your ad tattooed HERE!

Going for $500...

"So, what we are doing is selling ad space on my wife's lower back."
"My wife is planning on getting a lower back piece tattoo, we figured what the..., lets make some extra cash and sell the center space for an ad. (We could use the money to get some "upgrades" for my wife ;))"

Did anyone check her feedback? By clicking on her feedback, you can then click on the last 3 things she purchased (the others are too old and you can't click them) - they're all MySpace items and one of them is a MySpace account!!!
