Six People Shot in Talleyrand Area

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Homicide detectives are responding to a shooting involving six people in Talleyrand.

JSO spokesperson Ken Jefferson says the victims have non life-threatening injuries.

The shooting happened near 11th & Jones.

Investigators are trying to piece together exactly what happened.

We have a crew at the scene gathering new information.

They're probably considering it attempted homicide, and homicide detectives are the ones who work those cases.

I'm NOT surprised.....I live in St. Augustine, just South of Jax, and Jax is known as the "murder capital" of Florida. This and the MAD DADS (an organization of father's against street crime) just had a press conference earlier this morning that asked the population to stop the violence!! Guess it didn't work. Jax is such a cool place too, I love where I live, but I'm glad I'm 40 miles out of Jax!!!

Just heard on the news this morning that the police have nothing to go on, because none of the people shot will cooperate!! Hmmmm wonder what's up with that? No surprise, considering the neighborhood.
